About
Course Description: Trauma in Children Children often carry experiences and emotions that they do not yet have the words or skills to process. Trauma can affect their emotions, behavior, nervous system, relationships, and even their physical health. When these experiences are not understood or addressed, they can influence how a child views themselves, others, and the world around them. This course explores the deeper layers of childhood trauma, helping parents, caregivers, and counselors understand how trauma and stress affect a child’s emotional and neurological development. We will look at common challenges such as anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and the child’s deep need for safety, connection, and blessing. Throughout this course we will explore practical and holistic approaches to support healing, including parenting skills, emotional awareness, spiritual restoration, and nervous system regulation. We will also discuss supportive tools such as biblical principles, emotional release, trauma frequencies, essential oils, and nutritional support that may help create an environment where children can recover, grow, and thrive. Each module will guide you step-by-step through key topics, helping you better understand the heart, mind, and spirit of a child, while equipping you with practical ways to bring restoration, stability, and hope into their lives. Participants will also receive a hardcopy learner guide, which accompanies the course and provides structured notes, key concepts, reflection points, and practical exercises to help deepen understanding and support the application of the material throughout the learning journey.
